Underwater Modeling: A Unique Subaquatic Adventure for Model and Photographers
Imagine the ethereal beauty of flowing fabrics, the graceful movements with no gravity, and the interplay of light and shadow beneath the surface. Underwater modeling offers a unique and captivating canvas for both models and photographers. And at the same time, it presents challenges and opportunities that transcend the ordinary.
Underwater modeling isn’t merely about striking a pose beneath the water; it’s about embodying a sense of fluidity and freedom that comes with being submerged.
MODELS:
Beginners: Anyone can try this unique experience! With an expert trainier and safety procedures you can be an underwater model for one day! I am a photographer, a scuba and yoga instructor, with meditation and breath tecniques I’ll guide you during your underwater Photoshoot. Some Cenotes are the best spot: fresh shallow calm water! The photos are near the surface and you’ll hold your breth for just few seconds! You can be alone , with friends or your partner.
Professional Underwater Models must possess not only physical strength and endurance but also a profound understanding of how to convey emotion and narrative through movement alone. Every gesture is amplified, every expression magnified by the ever-shifting aquatic environment. If you are a freediver we can try some more advanced photos, in deeper cenotes or in the ocean!
While the resulting images may appear effortless and serene, the reality of underwater modeling is far from it. Models must contend with buoyancy, currents, and limited oxygen supply, all while maintaining poise and composure. You can try these kind of photoshoots if you are confortable without mask, if you can swim in a mermaid tail or wearing big dresses underwater; or if you can simply swim deeper with your freediving equipment on.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: Photographing underwater presents its own set of technical challenges. Specialized equipment such as waterproof cameras, housings, and lighting are essential for capturing the magic below the surface. Mastery of techniques like breath-holding and controlled buoyancy is crucial to execute their vision with precision and creativity. Despite the challenges, underwater photoshoots offer boundless opportunities for expression. The interplay of light and water creates a mesmerizing backdrop for storytelling, each shoot becomes an adventure into the unknown, a collaboration between human and nature to create something truly magical.

We will NOT pick up seastars or holding on stalactites during our photoshoots! Models and photographers alike must be mindful of their impact on delicate ecosystems, avoiding disturbing marine life and preserving the beauty they seek to capture.
